Gold From Goals

Goals are the cornerstone of any business venture and should be incorporated with your daily work routine. The reason for goals is to set a clear and defined path to your success and without them you are on a path to failure.
I have goals! I want to make money online you might say... but how. I will show you how to set a goal and put together a game plan to accomplish that goal.
I have put together a road map on setting goals that will propel you to success if done properly. A bold statement... I know... now lets begin.
A goal should be a clear and concise statement put in the present tense and can be measured. I want to make money online is not good enough. How much money, by what date, how will you make that money, all questions that need to be answered in your goal. I will make $1000.00 with my http://www.dreams2freedom.com/ website within 30 days! That is a clear and concise statement put in the present tense and can be measured. This goal should be the product of all your shot term goals and you should be passionate about it. If you are not passionate about your goal you need to reevaluate what is important to you.
Now that you have a goal that is clear and concise statement put in the present tense and can be measured and you are passionate about you need to write it down every morning when you wake up. Next make a to-do list of everything you need to do that day to bring you closer to accomplishing your goal. This may sound petty but it is an essential step in hitting your goals, it keeps you focused and on the road to success. Writing your goal down gives you a visual of what you will accomplish and should be carried with you every where you go.
Visualize your goal 3 times a day. I suggest first thing in the morning, at lunch time, and when you lie down to go to bed. What do you mean visualize? I mean shut your eyes and see yourself with your goal. What are you wearing, where are you standing, who is with you, how does it feel. Do you get my point? I imagine myself getting out of a Dodge Viper wearing a three piece suit in front of my 4,000 square foot house with my wife standing in the door to greet me. We walk inside and I feel proud because my wife loves our house so much. Visualization gives you ownership of your goal and you will hold yourself accountable. Visualization is a strong tool because it will drive your wants into your subconscious mind where you make 80% of your decisions.
Now you are ready to commit to your goal. By this I mean tell any one that will listen to you what you are going to accomplish. Stand outside and shout it in the air, write it in the sand at the beach, put a big sign on that says I am a Goal Setter and a Goal Hitter. Don't be scared of what other people think of you, people love to pull other people down to their level. Make your goal known and strive daily to move closer and closer to achieving great success.
"I am not judged by the number of times I fail but by the number of times I succeed and the number of times I succeed is in direct proportion to the number of times I can fail and keep trying"-unknown author
Strive to set goals and hit goals. You are the captain on your vessel to financial freedom, where you take it is up to you. Use your goals as a compass and you will always be heading in the right direction.

Making Profits from Online Home Businesses

Although there is a lot of hype surrounding Internet marketing, many people have successfully created online businesses from home. Part of the attraction has to do with the ability to control your lifestyle while making money. The potential to earn a six-figure salary from your home-based business is very real but like any business, shortcuts seldom work efficiently or have any long-lasting effect.
Online/internet business systems
Running an Internet business takes the same care, dedication and tenacity as any other business venture. In order to be successful you must have either working capital, sweat equity or both. Although it is possible to gain success without knowing what you're doing, that kind of lucky break is akin to winning the lottery. If you're going to invest time and money into a venture, it is best to work with an online business system that has proven success.
Whether you are getting into a specific niche in order to earn extra money from internet businesses from home or you are planning to replace your full-time job, having a solid foundation from which to work allows you to build your business with confidence. Many new Internet marketing students go from one business idea to another, never accomplishing anything substantial. They may try something for a little while with little success and quickly move onto something else in hopes of finding the magic formula to quick Internet riches.
Market your product
Getting enough people in front of the offer is one of the most frustrating points for many new Internet marketers. Countless conflicting ideas and theories get presented as facts to new online business owners. If you are new to operating an online business from home, you'll want to stay very focused on marketing once all the pieces are in place and you are open for business.
Most experienced people who run an online business from home will tell you that one of the key principles of success in the business is consistency. Once they are able to put specific actions into play each day, they are then able to track the results. By following a proven plan to develop and market their business, many part time entrepreneurs become full-time online business owners. Getting started in one of the many online businesses from home doesn't take much in the way of initial capital. If you have more time than money you can still be successful.

21 Steps to Home Business Success

Fifty million home-based businesses will be in operation by 1997, according to Link Resource's National Work-at Home Survey. All around the country, people who want more control over their lives are starting home businesses In New Orleans, Rick Hart's home based cajun Cargo ships seafood nation wide. In Palatine, Illinois, Stephaine Heavey works from home designing and selling original patterns for fabric dolls. And in Dallas, Lisa McElya published the Dallas Party & Event Planners Guidebook from the entire first floor of her two-story home. These three people are living the new American dream of owning a business, but avoiding the high overhead and start-up costs of a commercial location. If the idea of working from home is appealing, but you don't know where to begin, here is a step-by-step guide. STEP #1 DECIDE WHAT PART OF THE HOUSE TO USE Select an area away from family activity. The perfect space is a separate room (or perhaps the garage), but any area will do, if it can hold all the business supplies and equipment, and also provide enough work space for desks, tables, or counters. STEP #2 DETERMINE HOW MUCH TIME YOU CAN SPEND ON THE BUSINESS Many people start a home business on a part-time basis while raising children or working outside the home. Others start full-time when family and finances allow. However you begin, figure out how may hours per week you can devote to the business Make a weekly chart of your activities, examine it, and determine where the business fits. Don't assume you have time and find out later you don't. STEP #3 DECIDE ON THE TYPE OF BUSINESS Make a list of things you like to do, your work and volunteer experience, and items you own that can be used in a business. Look over this line-up, and using ideas from it, list possible businesses to start. Eliminate any business that isn't appealing or doesn't fill a need people have. For ideas on different types of businesses, consult the end of this article. Other ideas can be found in the source material listed at the end of this article. STEP #4 CHOOSE A LEGAL FORM The three basic legal forms are sole proprietorship, partnership, and corporation. The most common is the sole proprietorship. As its name implies, a sole proprietorship is owned by one individual. It is the oldest form of business, the easiest to start, and the least complicated to dissolve. Here are some of the advantages of this business form: 1. You own all the profits
2. Your business is easy and cheap to organize. You don't need any government approval, although you may be required to carry a city, state or county license. Your only other obligation is to notify the Internal revenue Service (IRS) for the purposes of sales tax.
3. You're the boss
4. You enjoy certain tax savings. You must pay regular individual taxes on your income, property, and payroll, but these are not levied as special taxes, as with a corporation. You will also have to pay sales tax which you have received from your customers.
5. Greater personal incentive and satisfaction. Since you have your investment to lose if your business is not successful, you should be more willing to put time, thought, and energy into the business. And when your business is successful, you enjoy maximum sense of accomplishment since you know its success was dependent upon your decisions about your management ability alone. For more information about this and other forms of business, send for the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Publication MP25. Selecting the Legal Structure for Your BUsiness (50 cents). It outlines the advantages and disadvantages of each legal type of structure. If after reading it you are still uncertain what form of the business should take, consult an attorney. STEP #5 DETERMINE WHERE THE MONEY WILL COME FROM There are three ways to finance start-up costs: use your own money, obtain a loan, or find investors. If possible, it is better to start small, use your savings, and not worry about repaying a debt. also keep in mind that since you are a home-based, chances of qualifying for a loan or finding investors are slim until the success of your idea is proven. STEP #6 GATHER INFORMATION Spend a few weeks researching home-based businesses. A library or bookstore can provide numerous books on business basics, and on the specific type of business that interest you. Homemade Money by Barbara Brabee (see sources) is an excellent book to start with. If you are considering a computer business, get in touch with the association of Electronics; Cottagers, P.O. Box 1738, Davis, CA 95617-1738. To keep informed of what is happening in home business world, contact National Home Business report, P.O. Box 2137, Naperville, IL 60566, for subscription information; and Mothers Home Business Network, P.O. Box 423, East Meadow, NY 11554 (send SASE for free information). STEP #7 CHECK ON ZONING RESTRICTIONS Find out how your property is zoned, the call City Hall and ask what regulations apply to home businesses in that zone. Also, if you rent or live in a condominium, check the lease or homeowner's association rules to be certain a home business is allowed. Generally, if you do not annoy your neighbors with excess noise, odors, and traffic, you will not be deterred from running a business at home. The neighbors may not even be aware of the business, but it is necessary to know exactly what you can and can't do before you start. This is important should any problems or questions arise later. STEP #8 PICK A BUSINESS NAME AND REGISTER IT If the business you choose is different form your name, file an assumed (or fictitious) name certificate with the county. You are notified if another business already has that name, so you can select a new one. Do this before investing in expensive stationery and brochures. It costs only a few dollars to file, and it protects the business name from being used by someone else in the county. STEP #9 WRITE A BUSINESS PLAN A good business plan clarifies your ideas and establishes a plan of action. A good business plan should include a description of what you are selling, your background and qualifications, who the prospective customers are and where they can be found, what is needed to build the business, how you plan to promote, and how much money is need for start-up costs. SBA Publication #M925, The Business Plan for Home-Based Business ($1) is helpful. STEP #10 GET AN IDENTIFYING NUMBER If you are the sole proprietor of the business and have no employees, you may either use your Social Security number or an Employee Identification Number (EIN) as the business number on official forms. If you have employees, or the business is set up as a partnership or corporation, you must obtain an EIN. To do this, complete IRS Form SS-4 (Application for Employer Identification Number) and file it with the nearest IRS Center. STEP #11 OBTAIN A SALES TAX PERMIT If the product or service you sell is taxable, you need a state sales tax permit. Call the local tax agency, explain the type of business you have and what you sell, and ask if you need to collect sales tax. If you do, they will send you the necessary information and forms to complete. You also use this tax number when your purchase items for resale. STEP #12 OBTAIN LICENSES & PERMITS It's very important not to overlook any necessary license or permit. For example, some cities and counties require a general business license, and most have special laws regarding the preparation and sale of food. Call City Hall to find out what is need for your particular business. In addition, Chamber of Commerce provide information on city, county and state licenses and permits. STEP #13 SELECT BUSINESS CARDS, STATIONERY, BROCHURES Spend time on the color, design and paper for these items. They make a definite impression-good or bad- on the people who receive them. If you are not certain what is most suitable and effective, consult a graphics designer or a creative printer whose work you like. STEP #14 OPEN A BUSINESS CHECKING ACCOUNT Call several banks to find out what services they offer, and what minimum balance, if any, must be maintained to avoid paying a service charge. Also ask about credit card if you plan to offer this convenience to your customers. Bank fees can be significant, so shop around for the best deal. If your personal checking account is with a credit union, see if it can also provide a separate business account. when you open your account, you may need to show the assumed name certificate and business license. Finally, investigate obtaining a credit card in the business's name. If this is not possible, set aside a personal credit card to use for business expenses. STEP #15 SET UP RECORD-KEEPING SYSTEMS Put together a simple and effective bookkeeping system with an 8 1/2 x 11" three-ring binder, columnar pad sheets and twelve pocket dividers from the office supply store. For each month, set up columnar sheets for income and expenses. Use a pocket divider for each month's receipts, bank statement, deposit tickets, and canceled checks. In addition, an automobile log for business mileage, and filing system for correspondence, invoices, supplier catalogs, client records, etc. are two other useful tools. For more information on record-keeping, see IRS publication #583, Information for Business taxpayers. STEP #16 CHECK IRS REQUIREMENTS If you comply with basic IRS guidelines, you can deduct a percentage of normal household expenses (mortgage, interest, taxes, insurance, utilities, repairs, etc.) as a business expense. see the box accompanying this article and, for more detailed information, IRS publication #587, Business Use of the Home. Also become familiar with these IRS forms: Schedule SE (compensation of Social Security Self-Employment Tax) and Schedule 1040 ES (estimated Tax for Individuals). Depending on circumstances, you may have to file them. STEP #17 OUTFIT THE BUSINESS Make a list of everything needed to start the business, but before you buy anything, look around the house for things you already own that are usable. When you are ready to start purchasing, check the classified ads and garage sales. Both are good, inexpensive sources for office furniture, typewriters, computers, answering machines, etc. But only what is absolutely necessary for start-up, and wait until the business is off the ground to get the extras. STEP #18 DECIDE ON TELEPHONE REQUIREMENTS Call the telephone company to find out the cost of a business phone in your area. If you cannot afford a separate business line, investigate the telephone company's regulations on using your personal phone in a business. It may be possible to do this if you follow certain guidelines. Keep a record of long distance business calls as they are a deductible expense. Finally, consider the benefits of an answering machine to catch calls when you are out. STEP #19 CHECK OUT THE POST OFFICE & UPS Using a post office box as the business address down plays the fact you are home-based. It also prevents customers from dropping in at all hours. While looking into box rental, ask for information on the various postal rates, particularly bulk rate, if you plan to do large or specialized mailings. If you mail many packages, check out United Parcel Service (UPS), as it is less expensive than the Post Office. STEP #20 PURCHASE THE NECESSARY INSURANCE Check with your homeowners insurance agent about a rider for your existing policy or the need for a separate business policy. Also make sure you have adequate personal and product liability coverage. Shop around, as each company has different rules regarding home businesses To save money on medical insurance, join an association and participate in their group plan. One such body is The National association for the Self-Employed: they can be reached at 800-527-5504. STEP #21 ORGANIZE THE HOUSE & YOURSELF To have more time for business, organize and simplify household routines. Start by holding a garage sale to get rid of unnecessary possessions. Next, have a family conference and divide household duties, making sure each person does his or her part. The, set up a planning notebook to keep track of appointments, things to do, calls to make, errands to run, shopping, etc. Finally, set up a work schedule so you won't get sidetracked by TV, neighbor's visits, snacking, and telephone calls. Creating and operating a home business is a wonderful and rewarding challenge. The satisfaction is not only in the money earned, but in doing what makes you happy.

When Your Home is Your Workplace.

Certainly organizing any household can be difficult, but when your home is also your office, the challenge can be overwhelming. Statistics show there are more than 25 million income-generating home offices in the U.S., and the number is growing.
As someone who has worked from a home office for over 20 years and a mother with five grown children, I've undoubtedly made every mistake possible. The joy and flexibility of working at home can quickly turn your house into a prison unless you take some preventive measures. Consider these tips to make living and working at home less stressful and more productive:
1. Position your office location carefully. If at all possible, separate your workplace from your living space, so you can physically leave your work. If you're working at home in order to take care of children, consider hiring childcare while you work - studies show your work productivity (and potential for profit) will increase, and so will the quality of life for your children.
2. Continually eliminate clutter. For years I have fought the myth that being organized means being a neatnik. When you remove the old batteries, loose change, dried-up pens, keys to unknown places, expired coupons, and postage stamps of strange denominations from the kitchen junk drawer, what you have left is useful. If there's a paperclip mixed in with the keys, it doesn't really matter. You can organize it more - and it will be easier to keep organized if you do, but it isn't a necessity. Clutter is frequently excess, and excess cannot be organized!
3. Choose a calendar system that works for you. If you're working at home, chances are it's difficult to tell when business ends and home begins - so you'll probably want a calendar or planner system that encompasses both your personal and professional life. In addition, create a method for sharing information that all the family needs to know. It may be something as simple as a calendar on the refrigerator with a different color pen for each member of the family.
4. Develop a system for meals to suit your style. The need to eat can create chaos or increase quality of life, depending upon how you approach it. I used to think that because I was a professional organizing consultant, I should have all my meals for the week planned by Sunday night. I soon discovered that even though my meal plan said it was spaghetti night, I wasn't in the mood. Now, I keep lots of staples on hand so I can create something delightful with the perishables I bought over the weekend.
5. Create separate filing systems for your personal life and professional life. Research shows that the average person spends 150 hours per year looking for misplaced information. And, certainly nothing creates a family crisis faster than a 15-year- old who needs a copy of his birth certificate to get into driver's Ed training, and you can't find it! If it fits in a file, put it there - and keep a list of your files, called a File Index - so you, or someone else, can find it when needed. (Kiplinger's Taming the Paper Tiger software creates the index automatically, and allows you to find anything you file or store in five seconds or less.
6. Get enough sleep. According to sleep experts, in order to be fully productive, you need to spend one-third of your life in bed. Many of us say, "I don't have time to sleep" - but research shows we can't afford to continually deprive ourselves and others who suffer because of our sleep deprivation. Sleep provides power to energize the body and the mind. Dr. James B. Maas, author of Power Sleep says that if you fall asleep immediately when your head hits the pillow or need an alarm clock to wake up, you need more sleep! (And you may solve a problem while you're doing it!)
7. Eliminate perfectionism. Someone once told me "A perfectionist is someone who takes great pains and gives them to everyone else." If you want to make yourself and the others around you miserable, insist on perfectionism. I have always found it fascinating that the most disorganized people in the world frequently have pockets of perfectionism - spices in alphabetical order in a cupboard over a counter where there's no room to cook. Productivity is about progress, not perfectionism!
If you're working at home, or thinking about it, remember that "home is where the heart is" - and it can be a great place to make a living too!

How to Reorganize Your Time to Accomodate A Home Based Business

Almost everyone needs or wants more money coming in, and with this desire most would like to start some sort of extra income-producing project. The trouble is, not many of these people seem able to fit "a second job" into their time schedules.
It's true that most people are busy, but extra time for some sort of home-based extra income-producing project can almost always be found. It may mean giving up or changing a few of your favorite pastimes - such As having a couple of beers with the guys or watching "reality TV" - but if you score big with your extra income project, you will have all the time you want for doing whatever you want to do.
The first thing to do is to sit down with pencil and paper and list your daily schedule. What time do you wake up? Then step-by-step, list everything you do each day. Most people will find that they have about three hours each day that can be utilized in a more constructive or efficient manner.
Efficient time management boils down to planning what you're going to do, and then doing it. Start by making a list of the things you want to do tomorrow, each evening before you go to bed. Schedule your errands to coincide with the other things you have to do and with your trips to or from work. Take stock of the time you spend standing around shooting the breeze - especially the time you spend on the telephone - and eliminate all that isn't necessary.
Whatever chores you have to do at home, set aside a specific time to do them, and a specific amount of time to devote to them. Don't try to do a week's work in one big flurry. Whether it's painting your house, fixing leaky faucets, or mowing your lawn and trimming your shrubs, do a part of it, or one particular job each day, and you'll be amazed at your progress.
Take care of all your mail the day you receive it. Don't let those bills and letters pile up on you. If you're unable to pay a bill immediately, file it in a special place that's visible, and note on the envelope the date you intend to pay it. Answer your letters the same day you get them.
The important thing is to think of time as your most valuable asset, because it is. So organize! Decide what you have to do, and what you want to do. From there, it's just a matter of arranging priorities. Once you start listing and planning what you want to do, and then carry out your plans, you'll find plenty of "extra time" for handling virtually any kind of home-based income-producing project. You may not like routines or schedules, but without some sort of plan as to what is supposed to be done, you won't achieve your goals. The secret of all financially successful people is simply that they are organized and do not waste time. Think about it. Review your own activities, and then see if you can't find a couple of extra hours in each day for more constructive accomplishments.
When you begin planning, and then when you really become involved in an extra in come-producing endeavor, you should work it exactly as you have organized your regular day-to-day activities - on a time-efficient basis. Do what has to be done immediately. Don't try to get done in an hour something that's realistically going to take a week. Plan out on paper what you have to do - what you want to do - and when you are going to do it. Then get right on each project without procrastination.
Finally, and above all else, when you're organizing your time and your business, be sure to set aside some time for relaxation. Be sure to schedule time when you and your spouse can be together. Don't be so wrapped up in your business that your family has forgotten what you look like.

Getting Cranked Up With A Home Based Business

Its no secret that in todays economy, it is becoming increasingly difficult for one to be financially-independent, especially with the rising cost of goods and lack of jobs available. So it would really be a blessing if you can earn some extra cash on the side that will help keep you in good shape. Initially, it might not pay enough for you to be completely independent, but any amount of cash that can help pay the day to day expenses is a very good thing. This is where the importance of home-based business opportunities comes in, as it allows you to earn that extra bit of cash to ease your worries.
How to start your own home-based business
The best way to go about starting your home-based business is to identify what you love to do, and then see if it can be turned in to viable home-based business. Complicated as it may sound, it really isnt. For instance, if you are great at sewing, then this can easily be turned in to a lucrative business opportunity with little or no investment. You dont even need any signboard outside; you can conduct all your advertising and handle your bookings online.
Most businesses nowadays start as small home-based business operations that grow in time and find themselves in a position to expand further. There is no reason why your particular home-based venture cant do the same. All you need is the right attitude and a market that is ready for your particular idea and your business will surely be successful.
Online businesses
The easiest and most common home business opportunity lies in e-commerce. It is by far, one of the fastest growing industries in the world in terms of the number of businesses that have taken that route. The numbers are growing even further with every passing year. Whether you want to sell your clothes or any other goods that you may own, selling online is one of the easiest ways to earn money. You would just need to check in a few times a day to see if people have placed any orders. People have even started to sell customized t-shirts and shoes online, and have adopted this is as a full time, legitimate home-based opportunity.
You can even be a professional seller at auction sites like yahoo auction or eBay. This would require you to ship items and wait for the money to come in. According to eBay, there are over a million professional sellers on their website, and you can add your name to that list if you want to adopt this as your home-based business operation.
Conclusion
With living and earning money becoming more and more difficult these days, starting a home-based business can really be a very practical move that you should be considering. However, your business operation will not be worth it if you are earning only a minimal amount for the effort you put in. So to ensure that you will profit from your endeavor, plan and strategize very carefully. And when you start getting some profit, be sure to put aside some so that you will have something to reinvest for the future of your business. The ultimate purpose of all businesses should be to grow and this is definitely no different for a home-based model.

Are You In It For The Long Haul?

Do you own a home business? Now I'm not talking about the twice yearly yard sale. I am talking about a legitimate home based business. It doesn't matter what type of business you are running affiliate marketing, ecommerce website, ebay auctions, etc.). The question remains the same: Are you in it for the long haul?
What exactly is the "long haul" you may ask? I consider the long haul sticking with something long enough to truly determine if it is something that is going to work for you.
I've got you thinking now, huh?
Well if you are like me, you know some one that has tried their hand at everything. Now don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with checking out different ways to have a home based business. Owning your own business is a GREAT thing.
What I am talking about here is that person that gets into something for a few weeks or months, quits or drops out, then starts something new just to find that this new thing is not what they are looking for either. On top of this, a lot of times this person will tell everyone they know that none of these programs or businesses are any good.
Now as I said, there is nothing wrong with "kicking the tires" to see what is out there. The big thing is when you find something, give it an HONEST effort.
How long this honest effort may take can only be determined by you and the program you are promoting or the business you are starting. Go into it with an open mind. (TIP: There are NO "Sit back and do nothing and get rich overnight" opportunities).
Understand what you are getting involved with and determine your goals. Once you have these goals in place, HONESTLY work your business. If you fail to reach your set goals, step back and look at where you are. This will give you a good idea if this business is going to get you where you want to be.
Don't get me wrong. I am by no means telling you to stick with something that is OBVIOUSLY not working. None of us are in business to lose money. Just remember that building a STRONG home business can take a lot of work and a lot of time. It is not something to be taken lightly.
In closing let me say that if you are a "tire kicker" and jump from one "sure thing" to the next, do us all a favor. If you don't give the program or business an HONEST effort and enough time to truly determine what you have, don't go around spreading "how bad this or that program" is. Let others make up their own minds. What may not have worked for you, may be that "sure thing" for some one else.

What is a Business Opportunity?

People throw the term business opportunity around pretty loosely these days. Before the internet took off, a business opportunity was a franchise like McDonalds or Wendys. Or maybe a vending machine route or insurance sales position in your local area.
Mainly what people considered business opportunities was that you had to be an entrepreneur with investment capital to take advantage of an opportunity. So a business opportunity was something only someone with money to invest could take advantage of. You had to have money to make money.
Nowadays, people by the thousands make money on Ebay and through millions of websites selling everything from wigs, to toys, to cars, houses, and electronics. A business opportunity exists for every man woman and child on the planet who has the drive to learn how the internet works and just how many different ways there are to make money.
Some business opportunities on the net require an investment of thousands of dollars. Others require only that you have a website and hosting for it. $24 a month can set you up with an affiliate business opportunity right now. I even have a free website I give people, loaded with products and customized so that you get commissions for every sale made on your site.
You don't have to know HTML. You don't have to know how to get a merchant account. And most of all, to get started, you don't even have to have your own products. By far the most people making money online are doing it as affiliates who refer people to products, services, and information for commissions.
This is what I do, and I love it! I don't have to take care of customers, stock products, do any shipping, or anything else that comes with owning your own products. Yet I make great money at it.
Now that's a business opportunity! Gone are the days when you had to have a lot of money to invest in starting a business. You still can, if you want to. But to me it's crazy that people spend tens of thousands of dollars on their local business, hiring staff, managing them, keeping stock and inventory, dealing with rude customers. I don't mess with ANY of that stuff and make more money than most people who DO!
A business opportunity is worthless if it is not taken. Most people just keep their jobs because they don't trust that they have any other choices. People who take action on a great business opportunity are people who are self-motivated and action-oriented.
You should be able to work long hours in the beginning and you should be willing to do what it takes to learn what business is all about on the web.
If you do, you can become self-employed and even extremely rich. It's not for everyone, but from now on you know that business opportunities abound on the internet and one is even just a click away from you right this moment!

Making Money on the Internet for Beginners

If you're interested in making some extra money to pay off creditors or earn enough income to replace your current job or career then the Internet is the place where aspiring entrepreneurs are turning. Unlike traditional businesses, a business on the Internet can be started with virtually no capitol, with the exception of your website expense. You have to have a website if you want to do business on the Internet...PERIOD.
If you don't have your own product to advertise on your website, there are literally millions of affiliate programs on the Internet who do have products and will pay you commissions to sell their products from your website. You can choose to sell cell phones, or internet services, candles, furniture, or maybe insurance, the field is wide open. The affiliate program you choose will also handle all the money, shipping and correspondence with your customers. All you need to do is to generate the traffic to your new website in order to make the sale.
Often times the affiliate program you join will offer you free websites and that is great, but you will never generate enough free traffic to these affiliate sites to succeed without having your own website. Why you ask? For one, the search engines don't list affiliate sites and you definitely want to get listed in the search engines, this will be your biggest free traffic source.
One of the best ways to generate free traffic is to get involved in link exchanges. You will basically place a link to another site on your website and they will in turn place a link on their site to yours. Once you have exchanged several hundred links a portion of your link partners traffic will come to your site. The free websites you have been given via your affiliate program will not be able to be edited in anyway, thus link exchanges are not an option.
Link exchanges produce a double bonus also. Not only will you get traffic from your link partners, the search engines will place you higher in their listings when they see lots of links pointing to your site.
The Internet was created to provide information, so if you want to succeed on the Internet and generate lots of free traffic, you are going to have to provide information on your website. Often times we do this by providing free information or articles on our website.
Offering free and useful information will keep your visitors coming back to your website, and the double bonus here is that the search engines love content. The more content your website has will produce better listings in the search engines.
Once you have perfected this process of building a website, getting listed in the search engines and have developed a huge traffic stream to your website, your going to be making sales. It will start out slow and as you build links and content, the traffic will grow and so will your sales.
Affiliate programs can be a great stepping stone to get your foot in the door towards cashing in on the riches that the Internet provides.
As time goes by you will find that you have learned so much and have evolved into an Internet Guru and now it's time to take it one step farther, and start selling YOURSELF.
Using the knowledge that you have gained, you may want to venture into selling your services to other entrepreneurs just getting started. You could start a consulting business, or you may offer to build websites, or to help your clients get listed in the search engines. You may want to start writing E-Books and selling them. The possibilities are endless.
The Internet is a huge marketplace that is still virtually untapped. Don't waste another day worrying about how you're going to pay your creditors or provide for your family in the future. Start an Internet business today and see how your life can be changed for the better.

How to Achieve Great Success From a Home Based Business

Profitability is the most important factor to success with any home based business. A home based business can run for a long period of time as long as you make it profitable. However, as many businesses don't make a profit to start with this is often the first goal of the home based business owners, and you should achieve this goal as soon as possible. To achieve this goal you should focus on business development, be careful with your expenses and focus on what you are offering.
Focusing on growth is a key way to build your home based business profits. In order to influence your results you should have the right mindset. If you don't have a profitable mindset then you are likely going to stay where you are. Rather focus on growth and have the mindset to notice opportunities when they come along that can lead to gain, and then take action on these opportunities right away before they are gone.

Next you must pay attention to your expenses seriously. All businesses have some expenses when they first start out even home based businesses. Make sure you set up a budget that includes such as advertising, a phone line, office supplies and anything else that may be necessary to the specific home based business you are considering. On your list please write down the expenses that are necessary for operating your business, these should be items that you need in order to make your home based business profitable.
You will likely run into some expenses that you don't really need to operate your home based business. These are the expenses that don't make your business grow and only take away from the profits of your business. Carefully consider before you truly need these expenses and if they don't make any profit then you should cut them for something that will
actually help with the growth of your business.
However, you can only move your business so far by restricting your expenses. You also need income in order to gain profitability from your home based business. Promotion is the most important factor to developing any business and gaining profitability. Basically you should focus on making your business known to people.
You can't expect to do business with you if they aren't aware of your company. While this may seem like an obvious point, the fact is that many home based businesses fail simply because individuals don't spend enough time promoting their business.Once again, promotion is the key for your success from a home based business.
If you have more than one product that requires promoting then consider focusing on just one main product for your business since you can focus most of your attention on marketing one product and once you get interested customers or visitors you can tell them about the additional products. This will make it easier to run your business and you will also have better results from your actions. Please remember,it is impossible for you to promote many products at the same time.
However, these tips don't just apply to those who are starting a new home based business. You can still use these helpful advice to let you move your business in the right direction if you have been working on it for awhile and just can get it to work for you. By applying these tips you will be able to have success with your home based business no matter how long you have been in business.

Start Home Based Business

According to the United States Small Business Administration, the number one reason that businesses fail is poor management. The second reason? Not enough financing or financing coming at the wrong time. When you start home based business, financing should be an important consideration. You will have to make sure you have enough capital to get your business moving, but you will also have to educate yourself to manage that capital well.
There are two types of financing available when you want to start home base business, equity and debt financing. Your business's debt-to-equity ratio is important to determining what type of financing you will need to start home based business. The debt-to-equity ratio is the dollars that you have borrowed compared to the dollars you have invested in your business. The more you have invested to start home based business, the more attractive you will be for financing. Why Creating Profits are Better than Earning Wages

Let me ask you a question.
Of all the friends and family in your life, have you ever known any of them to become rich while earning a wage? Now there's a chance you might be thinking of someone in sales who's making six figures a year. But when it comes to sales, that's a slightly different animal and I'll tell you why in a moment.
Wages, while they can pay for most of your expenses, have one drawback. They are always a fixed amount. Worse yet, the deductions that come off your check keep increasing while your wage stays the same. And if you do happen to ever get a raise, you could fall into a new tax bracket and actually take home less than before. It's happened to a lot of people and isn't very funny.
Profits on the otherhand, offer more than a wage could ever hope to give you. The reason is simple. There's no limit to how much profit you can make. That's why wages can only earn you a living but profits will make you a fortune. It's the reason why people in commissioned sales positions are different - they're not restricted to a fixed wage. There's no limit to how much they can make.
The ways you can create profits for yourself are limitless. You can start part time doing anything you like. It can be training, consulting or tutoring. You could have a landscape business in the summer or shovel snow in the winter. A hobby such as painting, writing, computers or cooking can also earn you profits. It really doesn't matter what it is as long as you enjoy doing it.
How hard is it to make profits? It's easier than you might think. For example, wouldn't you like to learn:
* How a 13 year old is making over $60,000 a year with her own company?
* How a 15 & 18 year old get 10,000 hits a day selling chocolate from their website?
* How an 8 year old launched a furniture business and made enough on profits to buy a substantial stock portfolio and a small cattle herd?
It seems incredible but these are real kids, with real business, making real money that you can verify.
Now think about it. You're an adult. You're a lot smarter than these kids. Yet they're probably all making more money than you even while going to school everyday.
The only difference is that you're earning wages and they're creating Profit.
So if 13 years old kids can make over $60,000 a year in their own business, don't you think you could too?

The 5 Most Imortant ReasonsWhy Everyone Should Find A Way to Make Money

Long before the Economic Meltdown of 3 years ago...
I believed that everyone should find a way to Make Money Online... and that doing so was something that was imperative for America's Working Middle Class to do.
It was probably 20 years ago that I first recognized that there was a trend going on where employers were demonstrating that they felt less and less loyalty towards their employees when there was an opportunity to fatten the company's bottom line.
At that time... there wasn't much that an average person could do... other than take whatever was offered to them... and continue to go to work every day.
Many-many decades have passed since an average person could feel confident about having Job Security... even if they worked hard, and put the needs of company that they worked for first.
That same number of decades have passed since most companies have reciprocated, and placed the needs of their employee's on the same level as their desire to turn a profit.
In today's world... there really is no such thing as Job Security for the average person.
Hundreds of thousands of high paying jobs have been outsourced... or moved permanently to countries where labor is cheap... especially High Tech... and Manufacturing Jobs.
I remember saying to someone a few years ago... "If we can't get jobs Manufacturing Products here anymore... Then we better figure out a way to get in on the Marketing of the products that other people are manufacturing for us."
Over the past 10 months I have had hundreds of conversations with Working Middle Class People about the subject, and potential of... Finding A Simple And Affordable Way To Put Average People In A Position To Market Goods And Services.
More often than not... those conversations lead to The Internet... and the reasons why The Internet is the best place to succeed.
What follows are... The 5 Best Reasons To Find A Way To Make Money On The Internet.
Reason #1
Because It's There!
When he was asked by a newspaper reporter why he wanted to climb to The Summit of Mount Everest... British Mountaineer George Mallory simply replied:
Because it's there!!!
The number one reason why you... me... or anyone else should find a way to make money on The Internet is because it is right there in front of us... and available for us to use.
Why would anyone not put a remarkable tool like The Internet to work... if they could?
The Internet is without a doubt The Greatest Invention that has come along since Henry Ford invented the very first Moving Assembly Line in 1913.
I know that a lot of the people who will read this article would probably argue that the invention of The Personal Computer is more important than the invention of The Internet.
But the invention of The Internet in 1973 gave life to a device that merely made it possible for most companies employees to be more productive in the workplace...
Just like the Moving Assembly Line did for manufacturing goods back in 1913.
Used in conjunction with a Personal Computer... The Internet now makes it possible for each one of us to reach out into the world... To Communicate... To Explore New Places... To Locate Long Lost Friends... and for our purposes today:
The Internet Allows Us To Market Goods & Services To Anyone And Everyone
The Internet also levels the playing field from a Commercial standpoint.
The Internet makes it possible for an average person with a computer and a website... to compete for business right alongside The Giant Retailers. Who by the way... are all scrambling, and trying desperately to position themselves to claim more than just a small share of what may soon become the Biggest Marketplace the world has ever known.
Reason #2
Because Anyone Can Do It
It has never been easier than it is right now for a person to start... and operate... a viable business right from their own home.
These days a person can sell almost anything via The Internet.
The list of Goods and Services that are available to choose from range from a Gulfstream VI Jet Airplane for a cool $45,000,000.00... to private Psychic Readings on The Internet for around $3.00 a minute.
You just have to sort through the multitude of Products and/or Services that are available for you to sell on your website... When you make sales you can have those products delivered electronically when possible... or drop shipped directly to your customer.
All you really need is a Simple Website... which can be setup for you for as little as $15.00.
Then all that is left for you to do is to find a way to announce your presence on The World Wide Web... to let people from all around the world know that you are ready and willing to be of service to them.
(I will be discussing the Nuts and Bolts of how to do that in an upcoming article.)
For less money than what one months rent on a Commercial Retail Space... A small one man operation can have the same online presence... as a Giant Retailer.
Reason #3
Because We Should
If recent history (business trends over the last 20 years) has taught us anything:
History has taught us that there is no such thing as a job that we can call our own anymore.
Anyone can be Laid Off... or Fired.
Downsizing is now the weapon of choice for increasing profits.
It quietly started out as Corporate Greed from employers trying to increase their profits... by exporting American Jobs to countries where they could find people who were willing (and eager) to work for less money than they had previously been paying American workers to produce their products.
With a few exceptions...
There is little loyalty left towards the Employee from his, or her, Employer.
So what do we do now to protect ourselves, and our families?
The answer is...
We know that it's simple to start... and operate... a business from home.
So... In one form or another... that's what we should all try to do.
Reason #4
Because It's The Biggest Marketplace In The World!
If you're a Giant Retailer you probably have about 144,000 different products on your shelves for your customers to choose from.
But if you're an Internet Marketer... there are millions and millions of products that you could possibly sell through your website(s).
The World Would Truly Be Your Oyster...
Your only real limitation would be just how many websites would you be willing to construct... and put online... to sell all of your Goods and/or Services through.
Not only would you have the whole of North America, and Europe, to market goods to...
But you would also have the two Emerging Consumer Nations of India, and The Peoples Republic of China to sell to.
They say that when one door closes... another one opens.
While we may have lost many thousands of jobs due to Outsourcing...
That practice has also provided the workers in those countries with disposable income to spend on Goods and Services.
If we aren't making those goods anymore. Someone will still have to market them...
It makes perfect sense that we find a way to do as much of that marketing as we can.
Those people who put them self in position to market Goods and Services both here in North America, as well as to the Emerging Consumer Nations... will have the least need to worry about making money... or worry about having a job... because they will have a pool of over six billion consumers to work for.
More likely than not... They will never feel the urge to look for a job ever again.
Reason #5
Because Of Our "Why"
We all have personal reasons why we would want to get into business for ourselves. For some it might be not wanting to have to punch a Time Clock ever again... for others it might be a life long desire to buy a certain automobile... or to build their dream home.
For people who have families... Their reason might be to have one parent stay home with the children.
But the most common reason that I heard from the people who I interviewed was... Financial Security.
Whatever a person's "Why" might be... it's ultimately what causes them to take action.
I just want to say that of all the reasons for us to look for a way to make money online...
Our own personal Why is the most compelling reason.
So... If you have a Why of your own that you would like to satisfy...
The Internet is the perfect place for you to find a way to satisfy it.

How Small Business Owners Can Have Fun At Work

Even small business owners working from home can have fun at work in your home office. It's easy to caught up in every day stuff that you forget to have fun at work. Making the workplace a fun environment not only makes your life more enjoyable, it can also improve your productivity.
Have you noticed how time seems to pass by much faster when you're having fun? When working in a fun-filled environment you tend to get better results compared with being unhappy and struggling to complete tasks.
Small business owners can have fun at work by taking some simple steps, which may even start at home before you go to work. If you're self-employed and have no staff, then how can you have fun at work?
Being own boss, you can decide when to take a break, so why not break up your day and have a short burst of your favorite music to dance or sing along to? If no one is watching, then who cares!
You're probably thinking that you don't even have time to scratch yourself, so there's certainly no way you can take a break during your busy day. That can also be a problem, because if you don't take a break you'll not be as productive.
Often you'll get so caught up in something that you stop thinking clearly. It's at that point you start making mistakes, which can then put you in a bad mood.
Take some quality time out, and visit a valued client. You can go for a coffee, or even grab a sandwich for lunch. Perhaps you don't get to meet many people during the day, so you might consider joining a bike club, or going fishing, learning to play golf, or ten pin bowling.
One of our clients has an office of four staff and makes a conscious effort to celebrate each staff member's birthday with a cake, it's only four times a year, but it's a start!
To bring some fun into the office, they bought some small radio controlled helicopters and have races flying the helicopters from one end of the office to the other.
On Tuesdays the local cafe has half-price drinks, so they make a special point of ordering coffees for the staff. Thursdays they have noodle day, and organise with the local noodle restaurant to bring in the lunches.
Small business owners can have fun at work by rewarding yourself when you reach various goals. Have a look at your cashflow forecast or business plan and identify special events such as the sales target you set for the month. You could get an old-fashioned hand bell to ring every time you make a new sale.
Another client works with her business partner, and every time they win a new contract they break out into a song and do a little Irish jig. It may not sound very interesting, and the dance certainly is nothing to write home about, but the very action has a fantastic effect on their enthusiasm and brings fun into their work.
Many studies have shown that fun in the workplace creates a better mood, you sound happier when the telephone rings, and there's a happier atmosphere when clients and visitors drop into your business.
If you are unhappy at your workplace then you may want to reconsider what you are doing, and why you are doing it. Happiness comes from within, so we have a choice about whether or not we choose to have fun at work. After all, do you smile because you are happy, or are you happy because you smile?
There are always going to be days when things are going badly. Now you're probably thinking that you'd love to have days like that instead of agonising weeks of anguish. Why spend so much of your life at work and not make an effort to enjoy what you are doing? To be struggling in your business can be counter-productive, can affect your health, your family, and your well-being.
Go to the happiest small business owner that you know and ask them how they bring smiles and happiness to work. Start mixing with your friends and associates and you'll discover how they have fun. There's many solutions and options available to have fun at work.
You can start by looking around at what you are doing, and begin to change a few things to break up the monotony. Make a big effort to reward yourself for any little successes that you have, pat yourself on the back from time to time, remember to smile more often, and before long you'll be telling everyone else how small business owners can have fun at work.

Tips for Staying Productive While Working From Home

According to Census data, in 2008 almost 6 million people called their home their primary place of work. And this number has continued to grow. In fact, more companies are using telecommuting as an incentive. Many large firms, such as IBM and Boeing, have even reported seeing increased productivity by letting their employees telecommute.
But with a flexible work schedule and no one peering over your shoulder, it can sometimes be difficult to stay on track. Here are a few tips to help you be productive while working from home.
1. Schedule your day.
Make a plan for yourself to help you visualize how you want your day to go. This will help keep you on track if you start to slip and let you review your goals for what you want to have accomplished by the end of the day.
2. Have a home office.
Designate where you will be working. Your office does not have to look like a typical office space, but it does have to be an area where you feel comfortable and can be free from distraction. When you are in that space, you know you will be working and that mindset alone will make you more productive.
3. Set Regular Hours.
Don't wait for inspiration to hit to start working. Define the times you will be working, and you will force yourself to start your day at a time when you can be productive. Some of us are night owls, and some of us are early birds. Whenever you are most creative is when you should plan to schedule your work day.
4. Unplug any distractions.
Cell phones, TV's, social networks - these are all distractions and can quickly sink our productivity if we don't shut them off once in a while. When you have a big project, don't be afraid to seclude yourself and eliminate your distractions. You will get your work done faster and at a higher quality. Force yourself to focus for at least 15 minutes and you will be surprised how much more you can accomplish.
5. Give yourself a break.
Even though you're working from home, let yourself take breaks. Go outside and get some air for about 10 minutes and refresh your mindset. Mental breaks are necessary for maintaining productivity.
6. Make your work schedule public.
One benefit of working from home is the close proximity to your family. However, it is important to let your family know when you are "at work". It is easy for children to not realize the importance of needing to focus when you are deep in thought on a project. Letting them know you are working and not to interrupt you, will let you focus on the important tasks at hand.
7. Dress for success.
Let's face it. Our mindset is different when we are conducting meetings or trying to do business in our pajamas. The way we dress reflects the way we feel, so it is important we are dressing the part. Have a routine each morning that gets you up, out of bed, awake and ready for the day, just as you would if you were driving to an office building. This will help you become more mentally alert and ready to work.
8. Stay social.
Take advantage of the perk of telecommuting, and use the extra time saved on the drive to socialize. Since you won't have your team in front of you to chat with over the water cooler, it is important to still get out and touch base with the outside world. Schedule breakfast or lunch meetings with an influential person and get yourself out of the house. Even though it may seem these are taking away from your work, you never know which doors these meetings will open for your business, and can be more productive in the long run.
9. Set goals.
When you define what you want to accomplish in a day, week or month, you have a clear end in sight. With goals, you automatically help focus your mindset each day on what needs to be accomplished to reach your goals. Short and long term goal setting is crucial to any business person, and it is even more important when working individually. Write them down, review them each morning and get to work accomplishing what you want.
10. Take advantage of your telecommuting.
Use extra time that you earn by telecommuting for your community, your family or yourself. Take part in a charity event, take your kids to the park, or hit the gym more often. No matter what you use your extra time for, taking advantage of this perk will let you appreciate the ability to work from home and you in turn will work harder to continue having the advantage of being able to keep your home office.

Home Business Ideas ;What to Look For

When it comes to home business ideas, often large and exaggerated claims are thrown around such as "make a million dollars in 6 weeks!", "never work again", "have all the freedom you want". The truth is most people who fall for these false claims either lose money or become enslaved to their business, spending more time working than ever before. I'm sure you would not want that to happen to you. After all you have worked hard your whole life to get where you are now, and you want to progress not go backwards. But why is it so hard for most people to financially get ahead?
What most people fail to realize is this; that trading their time for money is the most non-productive way to make money. Why is that you ask? Well for starters we have all been trained from birth to think that, you work hard and you get rewarded. The harder you work the bigger the reward. They are good ethics to have, don't get me wrong, but in this economic climate we are working harder than ever before, for less, while the cost of living goes up. To keep money coming in, you have to keep working. If you stop working so does the money.
So what's the solution I hear you ask? Consider what your life would be like if you could achieve the following;
1) Work smarter (higher reward for less effort)
2) Work less
3) Have multiple streams of income
4) Earn income 24/7 365 days a year even while you sleep
Sounds good doesn't it, but few home business ideas will give you such rewards. To achieve such results means we need to do our ground work first, sorting out awesome opportunities from those that don't work. This takes a real mind shift to take place for us to realize the potential we all have to create wealth from home.
Below are 5 points that I have found to be a solid foundation in the sorting process.
1) Find products and services people that are in demand
2) Sell and promote online (24/7 access, low cost)
3) Have affiliation with credible, honest and supportive companies
4) Ongoing training, skill increasing environment
5) Products that keep selling over and over
How many home business ideas have you seen that can offer you all of the above?
Very few, indeed. So when it comes to home business ideas make sure you do your research and don't fall for exaggerated claims of wealth and freedom. You can make unlimited amounts of money on the internet, but effort and direction in the right way is needed. If you can find a business that offers all the above steps you are on a winner.
All the best,
Steve Eberhardt

Making A Home Based Business Online

Many wonder what are the steps to making a home based business. Many fail because they don't know what it takes and decide to quit. If you want to start a home based business or make money online, Here is what you need to know. Failure is inevitable. If you talk to any business owner or any person that is successful out there, They will tell you how many times they have encountered failure. It is what teaches them the next step. If you are dead set on making an online income, then you need to look forward to mistakes and failure. Hope for the best and expect the worst.
Perseverance. It holds the key to success. Perseverance is a very powerful trait that can give you anything you ask for. If you really truly want something, then you will do whatever it takes to reach it. Right? When I was looking for a job, I applied at every fast food restaurant in my area and I constantly walked in, called them and asked if I can come in for an interview, if I got the job. I didn't stop. That's why they hired me. I showed perseverance. That's what both of my managers told me. "You persevered and you got the job!" This taught me to never give up. I started applying this trait to making a business online and it got me really far! We all have perseverance. Most of us just decide to not show it and let everyone else boss us around and tell us what to do. Think about it. Do you feel comfortable letting some guy tell you what to do, how to do it, when to show up and he pays you pennies for giving him 50 hours of your life every week? That's not how I want to live my life. I'll tell you that.
Often people don't see what is right in their face. The truth. When you decide to start researching and you decide to start an online business, You basically start a journey. A long journey. It all depends on you how long you want it to be. If you are not afraid of mistakes and you take failure as a learning opportunity, then your journey will be a lot shorter than others who are afraid to lose something. When you are traveling on this "journey", you need to keep your eye on your goal. Say you want to have a stable income of $200 dollars a day. When you are working and researching, you need to keep that goal in mind. Have your goal right in front of you the whole time. Imagine yourself living the life, And keep working. The only thing ahead of you is a straight road to your goal and others let discouragement get in their way and they decide to quit. Don't fall in that range of people!
Don't quit. That is the worst possible mistake people make. Let me help you. I made a helpful newsletter that gives you great information on starting your home based business.
I have helped so many people and I think it can help you.

Choosing to Run Your Business Full or Part -Time

The choice to run your business full or part-time can depend on several factors. As a home business owner you'll need to look at your time available outside of family, your skill set, and weigh cost vs. income factors. Understanding what is best to do yourself and what your limits are is crucial to managing your time effectively and building your business over time. The first thing to understand is that your time is the most important.
Whether you are working full or part-time at least 80% of your time should be focused on activities that add value to your business. This is simply because the purpose of any business is to make money. If your work is not focused on adding value, which are the tasks that generate and sustain income for your business then you are likely to slow the growth of your business and never realize the true earning potential of your endeavor. To maximize your outcomes you'll first want to identify which activities add value to your business and produce revenue.
One exercise is to simply write down everything you do in your business. You can do this by making a few columns in a simple spreadsheet. Next, identify which things generate the sales or leads that sustain and grow your business. Next identify approximately how much time is need to do each task or function. Then record how often each task needs to be performed. Finally identify the skill(s) needed to perform the task. At this point you'll begin to get the picture and be able to answer questions that determine if you should be finding others to perform these tasks. Plus you'll understand the amount of time you need to invest in the business to perform your functions and manage any help that you are using. This will be a big part of your decision to work full or part-time.
As you begin to understand the amount of time needed to fun your business. You'll want to look at the financials. Again on a simple spreadsheet, you'll need to make a pessimistic, realistic and optimistic view of what type of income you expect to generate. After thoroughly researching your business and your competitors, you should be able to get a realistic view of your costs. Now if you are focusing on value added tasks only, you can estimate the value of your time. (Example: For every hour I spend on a consulting call I make $60 or $60/hr.) And you can also estimate your costs. (Example: It cost me $40 to find a new customer a get a consulting appointment) In this example your profit is only $20 an hour. How much would need to work to be able to pay your expenses and make a living?
You should understand by now that the decision to work full or part-time is primarily based on two factors. The value of your time and the costs associated with running your business. The final outcome should be to make enough money to reach your financial goals.
